Does anyone know is the FRN website down?

It's down from here at 2:15 pm EDT

And, SO IS the hfunderground! lol

As of this moment, only the Cafe is open. Knock on wood.

OK, HF is back at 2:27, but FRN isn't.

Yeah, the HFU server was rebooted at 1923z today. We were down for a few minutes during the reboot.

We're hosted on the east coast, so Irene could cause some issues this weekend.

There's bound to be an awful lot of wires down when that thing rolls through... at the least.

Yup. Those geriatric guys are stuck in their ways and won't embrace the new technology. Don't get me wrong, vacuum tubes are AWESOME for radios and guitar amps, but really suck for internets.

More likely, *someone* is afraid that they may lose their internet access when the hurricaine blows through *the* Chesapeake, and then they wouldn't be able to "delete posts as necessary"-- better to shut the whole thing down for a few days than to risk that someone may post something "embarassing" and he wouldn't be around to quickly remove it-- even though the whole world pretty much already knows everything.

Meanwhile, On their blog, someone is really sticking to that 'big lie' about Artie Bigley, even after its been smashed all to pieces about 20 different ways... now, THAT, is embarassing.
